Men are needed in the fight to end violence against women, because, after all, violence is the problem of the society and not just a women’s problem.
In collaboration with UN Women, TIJ has organized the “SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT” camp to “create knowledge and understanding of how to stop violence against women”. This initiative encourages university students to create a campaign that will best tackle this issue among youth. The winning team will see their idea turned into a short film that will screen at the launch of “Youth for the End of Violence against Women” this November. The “SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT” camp first kicked off at the Chiang Mai University on 5 and 6 September 2015 and attracted more than 50 students.
